About Us

Citizens Advice in Worcestershire is partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support to deliver a countywide specialist advice service for people affected by cancer.

Specialist advice for people affected by cancer

If you are affected by cancer as a patient, family member or carer, medical treatment is probably your number one priority. But you may also have other practical concerns about money, employment, housing or something else large or small.

Worcestershire Macmillan Citizens Advice offer an advice service specially designed to meet the advice needs of those affected by cancer.

How does Worcestershire Macmillan Citizens Advice work?

Initial contact is made by calling 01905 725946 (9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Monday to Friday) or email macmillan@cabwhabac.org.uk. An appointment will be made with one of our specially trained skilled Case Workers.

In order to make advice as accessible as possible, appointments can be made to suit your needs within Worcestershire at the Redditch, Kidderminster or Worcester Citizens Advice Bureaux and this includes home visits . We also offer appointments at Worcester, Redditch and Kidderminster hospital at the Macmillan Cancer Information Centres. Telephone appointments are available too.

The Worcestershire Macmillan Citizens Advice service is completely free to users.

General Advice

Our team of  advisers are trained to offer you advice by face to face interviews or over the telephone. There are a number of different ways advisers can help with your problem. Advisers don’t tell you what to do, but explain your options and the possible outcomes of different courses of action.

Practical ways we can assist you:

  • Help you to negotiate with companies or service providers
  • Write letters or phone companies and service providers on your behalf
  • Help you with form filling, for example, to claim for benefits
  • Refer you to CAB specialist caseworkers for complex problems or to other agencies when appropriate.
