Worcester Community Trust

Worcester Community Trust is a registered charity that puts community at the forefront of the development of new and existing services, enabling everyone from across the whole city to get involved.

Worcester Community Trust is an organisation who manage community activities in and around Worcester City at 8 local community centres. They offer lunch and breakfast clubs and exercise classes for the over 50's.

Extend, Snack and Chat, and Lunch Clubs are popular positive activities for older people. At these sessions people have access to advice, information and guidance, as well as access to other services and agencies. The activities give good examples for healthy eating and maintaining a good lifestyle, and build confidence.

Extend and keeping your independence

The purpose of Extend is to improve or maintain health and mobility, to enable independent living for as long as possible. Extend encourages people over 50 to exercise. It exercises every muscle and joint, the heart and the lungs, helping to improve circulation and breathing for all over physical health.

It improves and maintains a range of movement for people who have mobility problems, helping them to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible and it provide a pleasant place to meet, make new friends, keep the mind lively and the body healthy! We have a cup of tea and a chat at the end so it’s good for meeting new people and having a great time.

For more information, leave a message at The Green Centre on 01905 453453 ext.605.

Classes take place 2-30pm - 4pm.

Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading Service charity. We provide practical care, advice and support to serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans of all ages and their

Families, spending over £1.7 million per week on the delivery on a wide range of services.

We are pleased to announce that, as part of our new outreach Strategy, designed to make our charity more visible and raise awareness of the types of assistance we can offer, we have opened an office within the Warndon Youth and Community Centre.

Opening times will be published on the notice board, which will be staffed by our Case Officer, Katie, who will be able to provide advice and support to the serving and ex-service community, their dependents widows and widowers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of the community and I would like to thank the Centre for giving with this opportunity.
