Latimer Court Care Home comes to Worcester
A brand new purpose-built 80-bed care home is coming to Worcester in February 2013, located on the Old Ronkswood Hospital site just off Newton Road. Latimer Court is part of Barchester Healthcare, a group recognised as a major provider committed to delivering high quality care.
The care we provide
The home is specifically designed to provide high quality residential and nursing care, as well as dedicated dementia care in one of Barchester's unique Memory Lane communities. A highly trained care team, many of which will be employed from the local area, will provide a comfortable and caring home for new residents.
The Memory Lane community will be specially designed using colour schemes that easily enable residents to identify areas within the home. It will also feature life-skills kitchens where residents can be involved in everyday kitchen activities such as baking and setting the table. The aim of this design is to encourage people living with dementia to lead full and active lives, staying as independent as possible.
Latimer Court will be designed to create a home-like feel with furnishings designed with older people in mind, from the sofas and chairs in the living rooms, through to the spacious en-suite bedrooms. This luxurious Worcester care home will feature a range of services and facilities including a bistro, hair salon and a beautifully maintained garden. Throughout the home there are a range of communal and dining facilities to suit people who enjoy socialising as well as those who prefer quieter activities.

The Mayor of Worcester Cllr Roger Berry, officially unveiled Latimer Court’s information suite on 15 November. The information suite is open seven days a week from 9am to 6pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm at weekends so please call us or pop in to view our contemporary and state-of-the art facilities.
Forthcoming Events
Being part of the community is really important to everyone involved with Latimer Court and the home has already started to get into the Christmas spirit with various events in the run up to the big day.
A competition is also underway to name the tea shop that will be part of the home's Memory Lane Community. The winner and a friend will be invited to unveil the tea shop, join us at Latimer Court for afternoon tea and will take home a luxury vintage hamper.
