Latimer Court is situated in a quiet area of historic Worcester within easy reach of both local facilities and the surrounding countryside.

It is a brand new, purpose-built 80-bed care home specifically designed to provide high quality residential and nursing care, as well as personalised dementia care in our dedicated Memory Lane Community.

Our Memory Lane Community is specially designed, using colour schemes that enable residents to identify areas within the home easily. It also features lifeskills kitchens, where residents are involved in everyday domestic activities such as baking, setting tables and washing up.

With support from staff this helps people feel settled and useful.  Here you will see the highest standards in care and support for people with dementia and their families and friends.  Our programmes and care delivery are ‘person first’ in their nature and philosophy.  That is to say, we continue to see the person before we see their dementia.

Latimer Court is designed with a home-like feel. Its interior design, furnishings and setting were selected for older people, from the sofas and chairs in the living rooms through to the spacious en-suite bedrooms and secluded gardens. The home features a range of services and facilities including a coffee area, hair salon and a beautifully-maintained garden.

Throughout the home there are a range of communal and dining facilities to suit people who enjoy socialising as well as those who prefer quieter activities.   

At Latimer Court we work in conjunction with local GP’s, health and social services to ensure the best possible package of care and support is available to every resident.  Regardless of the care you need, everyone here has the same goal: to provide you with the best advice, support and care that they can.

Latimer Court focuses on meeting the individual nutritional dietary needs of each of our residents.  Visitors are welcome to dine with residents, and whether you eat amongst friends in the restaurant or choose to dine in the comfort of your own room the dining experience at Latimer Court is always a pleasurable one.

At Barchester, our ‘Cooking with Care’ initiative is all about ensuring that the food at our homes isn’t just nutritious but tantalising and delicious too.  It encompasses a number of training programmes, including a basic chef’s diploma for apprentices and a master chef’s diploma to enhance specific skills of chefs working at a higher level.
